If you dont want to come for breakfast I will need all the girls to meet at Adams house by and no later than 7:30am to make sure there hair is done correctly for this long hot parade. The Marching Band will be near the end of the parade, and they will be followed by the Carolina Crown.

Thanks for a great year already. The students are amazing! If you have any questions please feel free to call or email.

Parade Hair & Parade Make-up

Parade Hair

Your hair needs to be parted on the left side, and needs to be pulled back to a sock bun on the lower right side of your head. Make sure you don't have any little "whisps" of hair. Use hairspray or gel to make sure it stays in place for the entire parade. Also make sure you use bobby pins and hair elastics that match your hair color. (no funky colors) Also bring your bow so that Maria or I can put them in correctly so they don't fall out. If you have "whisps" when you arrive WE WILL FIX THAT! It will be hot so apply sunscreen and LOTS of hairspray

Parade Make-up

You need to make sure you have on Black eyeliner and black mascara, everything else needs to be brown tones, and just a little heavier than you would usually wear. Lipstick needs to be one shade darker than your natural lip color.

July 3rd Corps Encore @ Weber State University

Dear Parents & Students,

Coming up next week we have two fantastic events:

DRUM CORPS INTERNATIONAL "CORPS ENCORE" - WEBER STATE JULY 3:
On Wednesday, June 3, the world-famous "Carolina Crown" Drum Corps will be staying at Lone Peak HS.  The "Crown" placed 2nd at last year's world championships and are on track again to place in the top three.  They will drilling and rehearsing on the practice fields at LPHS nearly all day on Wednesday, prior to heading to Ogden for their competition that evening.

The LPHS Marching Band will not have practice on June 3rd. Instead, all band members (Guard, Instrumentalists, and Percussion) are strongly encouraged to spend their normal practice time at the high school watching the "Crown" practice.  It is an amazing experience, inspiring as well as informational .  There is nothing like it!

At 3PM the LPHS Band members will board the bus and travel to Weber State University for "Corps Encore" event (band members are not required to attend this event, but it is highly recommended).  PLEASE have students bring money for food.  Admission & travel costs are already covered.  The busses will stop for food in Ogden before preceding to the stadium.  The show will end around 9:30pm and we will travel home.
